Peter Halloran has an extensive background in employment and civil rights litigation as well as in business disputes. Prior to joining Angelo, Kilday & Kilduff in 2011, Mr. Halloran was a Deputy Attorney General with the California Attorney General's Office where he defended state agencies in trials and administrative hearings in matters involving employee disputes and discipline. Mr. Halloran helped defend state agencies, particularly law enforcement agencies, against discrimination, harassment and retaliation cases. He has also defended and advised public agencies in connection with employee disciplinary matters, workplace accommodation requests and the revisions to internal employment policies. As a result of his work at the Attorney General's Office, Mr. Halloran is well versed in the requirements of the Public Safety Officers Procedural Bill of Rights Act.

Mr. Halloran was a partner with the local firm Weintraub Genshlea Chediak where he specialized in litigating civil business disputes. While at the Weintraub firm, Mr. Halloran also litigated a variety of employment matters including cases involving the vesting of stock options, hostile work environment claims, and employment contracts.

Mr. Halloran is originally from the Bay Area. He graduated from the University San Francisco School of Law in 1996 and was admitted to the Bar the same year.

Mr. Halloran is actively involved in the community and is the past President and current Secretary of the Arden Park Homeowners Association. He also enjoys coaching his younger daughter's soccer team and cheering for both of his daughters during swim meets.

    Specialize in defending public and private entities against employment lawsuits including cases involving claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination and breach of employment agreements. Assist clients with defense of business lawsuits, injury actions, and real estate matters. Defend public entities, including law enforcement agencies, against claims involving alleged civil rights violations, false arrest and real estate regulations, among others.
