Ms. Blocher supports the firm’s public entity and private sector clients with an emphasis in employment defense. Ms. Blocher brings a diverse background to the firm. In addition to work in civil litigation and employment defense she has interned with the Office of the Public Defender for Sacramento County and worked extensively in copyright and trademark law.
Ms. Blocher grew up internationally before claiming Northern California as home. She graduated from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, California and worked in non-profit and tech before attending law school at University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law. While in law school, she participated in several community activities including the Anthony M. Kennedy Inn of Court, Women’s Caucus, Public Legal Service Society, and starting a campus running club. Since law school, she has remained active in the legal community serving on the board for Women Lawyers of Sacramento and as an associate member of the Anthony M. Kennedy Inn of Court. She also serves as vice-chair for Teaching Everyone Animals Matter (“TEAM”), the non-profit affiliate of the Sacramento County Department of Animal Care and Regulation.
Most of Ms. Blocher’s time not spent at work involves dogs, outdoor sports, exploring new restaurants and wine regions, and keeping her passport from getting too dusty.
