Prior to joining AKK in October 2019, Mr. Seuell worked as a Deputy District Attorney in the Sacramento County District Attorney’s Office.  He conducted several jury trials involving charges ranging from DUIs to child endangerment.  Mr. Seuell was also responsible for managing a caseload of over 80 misdemeanor cases.  Since his transition to civil litigation, Mr. Seuell has actively worked to defend a variety of public entities from allegations of police liability, employment discrimination, and dangerous condition of public property.

Mr. Seuell earned his Juris Doctorate in May 2018 from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.  He was awarded the prestigious McGeorge Barrister of the Year Award, Class of 2018 and the Witkin Award for Academic Excellence in Criminal Pretrial Litigation in 2017.  Mr. Seuell was also an active competitor in the Mock Trial and Moot Court programs.  In 2016, he won the Ben Frantz 1L Mock Trial Competition and was a finalist in the McGeorge 1L Moot Court Competition.  He was a member of the McGeorge Moot Court Honors Board, competed in the ABA National Appellate Advocacy and New York National Moot Court Competitions, and was recognized as a Top Oral Advocate in the McGeorge 2L Appellate Advocacy Competition in 2017.

Mr. Seuell earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from CSU Sacramento in 2015, with a Major GPA of 3.95.  He was born and raised in Sacramento, California.  He enjoys traveling, reading political commentary, and playing recreational basketball.
